Starting from the Sulby Glen road, you head straight up through Ballacuberagh Plantation. It's a tough way to start - straight up, but you soon emerge out the top and start seeing some expansive views.
The track follows some farmland for a while, with Mount Karrin on your left before you reach a short section of sealed road - a very quiet section of road but still watch for cars.
Soon you'll pass tracks on your right and left (Ballaugh and Tholt-e-Will plantations), and then lave the sealed road, bearing slightly right (but still feels almost straight away), and back into the stone Greenway.
You'll follow this Greenway past Slieau Dhoo and then below Slieau Freoaghane. Stick to the stone path skirting around below the summit, and you'll climb slightly. At the top of this small climb, look for the summit track on your right heading up the southern ridge.
Follow this up to the summit of Slieau Freoaghane and ring the (very loud) bell and take in the epic view (head towards the West side of the summit for a stunning view across Kirk Michael and Peel).
Take the easterly track from the summit back down and then head back to the stone Greenway you came in on.
Retrace your steps until you've run the sealed road again. When this ends, instead of straight back where you came, turn right and head down alongside the edge of the plantation.
Soon you'll run through the middle of Killabrega Tholtan - a significant set of old ruined buildings., and then straight down the spur, down a very steep zig zag track and onto Sulby Glen road. Turn left and stretch out your legs back to the start.
This trail includes the peak Slieau Freoaghane.
Stunning views across Sulby Glen and the reservoir, and of course a bell to ring at the summit.
None.
Space for one car on the side of the road at the Greenway start, or plenty of parking back up the road at The Claddaghs.

Easy.
Generally good.
Long-sleeved thermal top, Seam-sealed waterproof jacket, Whistle, First aid kit, Extra food for emergencies, Cellphone, Map
None on route, apart from the last section along the road which follows the river.
Wet, cold and windy in the winter, but doesn't get too boggy as the most is stone Greenway.
