How do I see my location?

See your current location on maps, find trails and peaks that are close to you, easily navigate to the start of a trail and navigate using our trail maps when on a trail.

We need to know your location to enable this feature.

Why?

By granting permission to access your location, we are able to:

  • calculate distances between where you are now and trail start points and peaks
  • show your current location on the trail and peak maps

so you can then:

  • find trails and peaks that are close to you
  • easily navigate to the start of a trail
  • navigate using our trail maps when on a trail

This location data is not stored by us and not used for anything other than enabling these extra features.

If you'd prefer not to grant location permission, you can continue to use the trails & peaks directory, just without these features.
